Nagarjuna Junior Red Cross Circle

Introduction

Nepal Junior Red Cross Circle, Nagarjuna Academy was established in the year 2060 B.S. with the initation of Principal Mr.Sunil Bikram Sijapati and Vice Principal Mr. Madab Thapaliya. It was established to practice the aims and objectives of the Red Cross Society such as life protection and health preservation, social and health service activities, mutual cooperation and international friendship. Students of class 6 onwards can be the members of the circle. An executive group of the students runs this circle.

Objectives

---to promote the sentiment of universal fraternity and execute the ideals and humanitarian principles of the Red cross.

---to execute other functions of public awareness.

---to provide helping hands to poor and needy people.

---To perform necessary functions relating to the fundamental principles of the red cross.

---To organize the victims of natural disasters and calamities with medical and other necessary assistance.

---to organize different types of competitions relating to red cross.

Current Activities

---Nagarjuna Red Cross Circle collects disaster relief fund every time at occurence of disasters and donates it to Nepal Red Cross Society.

---It organizes 'Interschool Drawing Competition' every year making the theme of Red Cross that enhances the knowledge about Red Cross.

---It collects money and cloths from students of Nagarjuna Academy and distributes to poor and needy people.

---It organizes blood Donation Campaign and gives to Central Blood Bank.

---It also organizes many programmes like essay, poem, elocution competition with the theme of Red Cross.
